Ethics in Play Therapy

Through group discussions, hypothetical cases, and role-playing activities, this workshop will equip play therapists with the tools and skills to identify and navigate complex ethical dilemmas.  Play Therapists will also learn to locate and discuss the APT Best Practices Guidelines and how to utilize the play therapy ethical decision-making tree.

Objectives

1 - Identify 3 ways to establish boundaries with parents from the start

2 - Assess scenarios for ethical dilemmas

3 - Identify where to locate the APT Best Practices Guidelines & discuss key concepts

4 - Apply the play therapy ethical decision-making model in at least 2 hypothetical ethical dilemmas
